Long time since you last posted about books but you kept your promise!Those are astounding bindings,I understand your excitement and awe since it is a great rarity to have the chance to see and touch such work.I myself have a soft spot for Bonet(but then again,who bookbinder hasen’t?!).Thank you so much for sharing.Upload some more if you can :)

Hi Lili! It was nice to meet you in San Francisco! I didn’t make the connection when I met you, that I already subscribed to your blog. :) It will be nice to picture the face behind your posts. This is a great one by the way. Excellent photos of those lovely bindings.

That’s beautiful, is that leather cord you are using for the tackets? I struggled trying to make a Nag Hammadi style book earlier this year, and admit I gave up on the tackets.

Your post just goes to show how versatile they are. Well done and thanks for sharing.

I must confess to recognizing the typeface used in the book of magic that Harry opens in the library. It appears to be “Texas Hero” a face based on the 19th Century handwriting of Thomas J. Rusk.
